Guess what? I told a bunch of attendees at TechEd this so I will share it with the rest of you too. We will send one lucky person to NYC to attend the joint Exchange/Office/Vista launch event. Cool huh? All you have to do is submit a cool, useful one-liner for Exchange 2007 management. And you've got plenty of time too as the contest runs till September (read the rules). So to help you out we also up some great examples of how to use PowerShell with Exchange on the web. Check them out and remember to send us feedback:
Exchange 2007 "Scripts" Examples
Exchange 2007 "Activate the PowerShell" One-Liner Contest
And BTW, it is SO funny that the examples are on there as "scripts". Hilarious! Why? Well let's take a look at one of the sample "scripts". Do you notice how it says "script code". How funny is that... I've *never* seen "code" so portable and simple for a Microsoft product. I'm going to have to talk to whoever put those docs up to change it to: "one-liner" instead of "code". Don't you agree that would be more accurate? Anyway, the way to win the contest is to come up with something:
- Original (you can submit something that is already posted... but we will catch it :)
- Unique and
- Useful
- Elegant
The best part is, since we're focusing on one-liners you don't have to feel pressured to create complicated long scripts. Sounds like an *extremely* easy way to win a free trip (wish I could enter but I can't :). Have fun, send us feedback, and blog your own scripts (ok, don't blog your hot winning entries, but blog longer scripts that you're working on).
